Nico grew up in a small coastal town in the South West of France and moved to Los Angeles when he was twenty to follow his highschool sweetheart. He ended up discovering his passion for photography while in school and spent several years assisting many notable photographers while shooting personal projects around the world. Recognition of Nico’s personal work ultimately helped launch his career in advertising,  where he now shoots campaigns for major brands. Nico was recently named one of PDN’s 30. He is now an American citizen, and still lives with his highschool sweetheart and their baby girl, Tulie June.

Nico’s inspiration comes from familiar fragments of everyday life. He is drawn to things that bring people together, taking a collaborative approach with his subjects to celebrate them, most often through movement and proximity. Nico’s goal is to capture familiar moments in a unique way through his intimate style of photography. He works swiftly and collaboratively, bringing a sense of curiosity and open-mindedness to projects.
